Press Release
London, July 1, 2026 — Qube Cinema today announced that Palace Cinemas, one of Australia's premier cinema circuits, has migrated to Producer, the enterprise-grade Theatre Management System developed by Arts Alliance Media (AAM), acquired by Qube Cinema in 2026. The implementation was led by HOYTS Cinema Technology Group (Hoyts CTG), acting as consulting and implementation partner.
Palace Cinemas, Australia's leading independent cinema circuit, will be operating Producer across 164 screens across 19 locations nationally. The migration to Producer marks a significant upgrade from the circuit’s previous system Screenwriter, enabling Palace’s head office team to manage content, scheduling, and playlist operations across all sites from a single, cloud-based dashboard.
Producer gives Palace Cinemas centralised control over its circuit, automating playlist scheduling, streamlining pre-show management, and providing real-time visibility into content and playback status across every covered location, at any time.
“Screenwriter has been central to how we manage content workflows and KDMs across our 164 screens. Expanding to Producer for circuit-level management was a logical next step, and one we were confident making as it was a real gamechanger for us.” said Lilly Roesler, Head of Operations & Human Resources, Palace Cinemas.
"Palace Cinemas joined the network in 2023, and their decision to move to Producer for circuit-level management is a testament to the confidence they have placed in the platform. Their scale and programming complexity are exactly what Producer is built for, and we look forward to supporting them at circuit level," said David Ong, Chief Commercial Officer of Arts Alliance Media.
"Having partnered with Palace Cinemas on their Screenwriter rollout in 2023, supporting their migration to Producer is a natural continuation of that relationship. We understand their circuit inside out, and we are confident this upgrade will deliver meaningful operational gains across their locations." added Bruce Ker, Cinema Technology & Commercial Development Manager (ANZ), Hoyts CTG.
The deployment reinforces Qube’s position as the enterprise TMS of choice for leading circuits across the Asia-Pacific region.
