John joined Arts Alliance Media in June 2014 after a career in the telecommunications and internet space. John is an experienced CEO who has successfully built multiple fast growing software and services businesses by creatively using leading edge technologies to bring cost savings and revenue growth to his customers. John is committed to customer satisfaction and helping our customers leapfrog their competition by adopting the best technology available. Prior to AAM, John lead a highly innovative team as CEO of Volubill and prior to that he drove Intec Telecom System’s largest product division as VP of Charging and Billing Products. Earlier in his career John was President of EMEA and APAC for CGI, a USA based high tech software company which was subsequently sold to Intec for over $260 million.

Sonny Waheed
Chief Marketing Officer

Sonny joined Arts Alliance Media in September 2015 having previously headed up international marketing for IGT, the world’s largest provider of land-based and online casino slot machines and management systems. Sonny has amassed over 20 years global marketing experience in the telecommunications and IT industries, specialising in helping companies effectively differentiate their business and maximising customer engagement. Sonny is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Joe Sage
Chief Financial Officer

Joe has been with Arts Alliance Media since January 2011 having joined from SDI Media. Prior to working in the media marketplace Joe qualified as a Chartered Accountant with BDO Stoy Hayward training in their audit division before transferring to Corporate Finance, where he specialised in Internet Gaming and high growth organisations. He subsequently moved into a Corporate Finance role with Inspicio plc, where he oversaw a number of strategic acquisitions and handled the sale of Inspicio to 3i. Joining SDI Media Ltd as Finance Director in 2008, Joe led the purchase of the Ascent Media advertising division and oversaw its integration into the SDI Media operations.

Joe has been operating in a senior finance role since his arrival at AAM, where his responsibilities have included heading up the VPF scheme. Joe moved into the CFO position with Arts Alliance Media in 2016.

Rich Phillips
Chief Technology Officer

Rich joined Arts Alliance Media in February 2003 to oversee early digital cinema trials across the UK’s City Screen cinema circuit and to provide technical expertise to deliver AAM’s successful bid for the UK Film Council’s pioneering Digital Screen Network, as well as architecting and leading the deployment of this ground breaking project. Since then Rich has lead AAM’s technology efforts across all business activities, including digital cinema deployments across Europe, content and alternative content distribution activities, and promotion of AAM’s software products worldwide. Rich has a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nottingham University, sits on the BKSTS Cinema Technology Committee, and is a member of SMPTE.

Chief Operating Officer & Corporate Development

Pat joined Arts Alliance Media as CFO in January 2006 from Universal Pictures International where he was responsible for the successful implementation of a major 3 year business transformation programme (process, people and technology). The project delivered Supply Chain, Marketing and Finance solutions globally to all international Home Video operations generating benefits in excess of US$100m. Before undertaking his project based role, he was Finance Director for Universal Pictures UK, a division with sales in excess of $400m annually.

Pat has over 13 years experience in the Film and Home Entertainment industry and prior to Universal worked for PolyGram Filmed Entertainment where he held several senior Finance roles.

Pat is a Chartered Management Accountant.
