There are two main options when it comes to rolling out digital cinema – either the exhibitor goes it alone and arranges leasing and distributor contributions themselves, or works with a third party provider who already has leasing, equipment and distributor deals in place.
Benefits of working with a third party
- The third party procures, integrates and leases the equipment to the cinema.
- The exhibitor pays a fixed annual contribution for 5 years to cover a portion of the cost.
- The third party provider negotiates with distributors to fund the balance of the equipment costs
Advantages of partnering with Arts Alliance Media:
- We provide a complete end-to-end service – sourcing, financing, installing and maintaining equipment, and preparing, managing and delivering content.
- AAM arranges financing, and takes the risk of the equipment being paid off or not. (More detail on financing can be found on our VPF page)
- Manufacturer independent – we have worked with all major digital cinema equipment providers and will select the best solution for your needs.
- We have strong relationships with the studios, and can manage for digital cinema.
- We are a provider, not a gatekeeper. We won’t interfere in the distributor/exhibitor relationship.
- We have the experience: not only are we currently rolling out the UKFCs 240 screen network, we are working with Odeon on a digital cinema trial, and are operating a circuit in Norway.
- We have state of the art integration and maintenance, and guarantee that your equipment will be technically compliant with industry standards.
- Cheaper than going it alone – we can utilise buying power from providing equipment to multiple cinemas, and also benefit from thousands of screens when negotiating distributor contributions.
