TISCALI LAUNCHES 'MOVIES NOW'

LONDON, 3 May 2007 - Tiscali, the broadband, telephone and media company, today announces the launch of ‘Movies Now’, its online video on demand (VOD) download service in partnership with Arts Alliance Media, Europe’s leading provider of digital film distribution services.
The new online service brings the company’s TV VOD brand to an unlimited UK broadband audience, with over 500 films and specialist entertainment programmes available to anyone who visits the Tiscali web site. Users can choose to ‘rent’ or download to own from as little as 99p.
The online ‘Movies Now’ library includes classic blockbusters such as The Bourne Identity, 8 Mile, Bridget Jones and United 93 as well as recent releases, Children of Men, Jarhead and Smokin’ Aces. The library also contains classic sports events such as The British Open Golf and natural history programmes from National Geographic.
Download rentals have a seven-day window for viewing once the download is completed. Once playback is started, the viewer can watch the film or programme as many times as they like, within a 24 or 48 hour playback window, on their laptop, PC or on their TV if it is networked to their PC Prices start from only 99p, with the latest blockbuster films in the catalogue available for rent at high quality for £2.99 or at super high quality for £3.49.
