ARTHOUSE FILMS SIGNS EXCLUSIVE OUTPUT AND

DISTRIBUTION DEAL WITH ARTS ALLIANCE AMERICA

FOR DVD AND DIGITAL DISTRIBUTION

15 to 20+ titles a year to go out through Arts Alliance America

 

September 11, 2007 - Toronto Film Festival  - Arthouse Films and Arts Alliance America have announced that they have signed an exclusive output deal to distribute Arthouse Films label titles through Arts Alliance America in the United States on DVD and via digital distribution. The multi-year deal encompasses 15-20+ titles a year that the Arthouse Films label will release through Arts Alliance America on dvd and digital distribution. The deal was negotiated by David Koh and Lilly Bright on behalf of Arthouse Films along with Stanley Buchthal of LM Media GmbH and Joe Amodei, President of Arts Alliance America. Arthouse Films just recently signed an output deal in Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa with Madman Entertainment for distribution of its titles overseas.


Initial Arthouse Films titles to be distributed on DVD, include Black White + Gray: a Portrait of Sam Wagstaff and Robert Mapplethorpe by James Crump, Alice Neel documentary by Andrew Neel, Berlin & Tribeca Film Festival Award Winner A Walk into the Sea: Danny Williams & the Warhol Factory by Esther B. Robinson, Jean Michel Basquiat documentary, Henri Cartier Bresson Limited Edition Boxed Set, Next: a Primer in Urban Painting by Pablo Aravena, Lockdown USA by Rebecca Chaiklin and Michael Skolnik, Jack Smith & the Destruction of Atlantis, among others.
