Auch Disney bei Arts Alliance
Nach den langfristigen Verträgen mit den Studios Twentieth Century Fox, Universal Pictures International, Paramount Pictures International und Sony Pictures Releasing International hat Arts Alliance Media (AAM) jetzt mit Walt Disney Studios International eine nicht-exklusive Vereinbarung über die digitale Kinoauswertung in Europa geschlossen. Dem frisch besiegelten Vertrag mit AAM zufolge wird Disney künftig die europäischen Kinobetreiber mit digitalen Kopien seiner Spielfilme beliefern und sich auch finanziell an den Kosten für die digitale Umrüstung in den Kinos beteiligen, die AAM entsprechend den DCI-Spezifikationen vornimmt. Damit ist AAM zugleich die einzige Firma in Europa, die über langfristige Abkommen mit den Studios verfügt. Die geschlossene Vereinbarung bezieht sich auf die digitale Umrüstung von bis zu 7000 Leinwänden in den nächsten Jahren. (B.H.)

AAM has closed an non exclusive agreement with Walt Disney Studios International to equip cinemas throughout Europe. This newly closed deal with AAM will enable exhibitors to receive digital prints from Disney’s films and Disney will also contribute financially on the digital equipment in cinemas; cinemas where AAM will be responsable for the DCI-specifications. AAM is the only company in Europe that has longtime agreements with the studios. This closed deal is in the line to realise a digital roll out of 7000 screens in the next year.
