AAM's Library Server

AAM's library server is a hardware and software solution for centrally storing and managing digital cinema content within a theatre complex.

Content Ingest

Our library server supports ingest from a wide variety of sources. As well as support for USB connected devices such as hard disks and memory sticks, it has a built-in receiver for the industry standard Cru-Dataport system for super fast hard disk ingest, and a DVD/CD drive. The system also supports electronic delivery systems for fully automated operation. All content is carefully checked for compliance and all files are fully validated during the ingest process.

TMS compatibility

AAM's library server works seamlessly with AAM's Screen Play TMS, and can be used as the hosting platform for Screen Play to provide a single solution to theatre management and content storage. But the web based AAM library server software also allows it to be used in situations where there is no TMS, or in conjunction with other third party TMS systems.

Reliability

The systems are built using the highest quality enterprise grade IT components and designed for maximum up time and reliability. Hardware RAID ensures that failure of an internal hard disk cannot cause loss of content or interruption in operation. Dual redundant power supplies help to protect against power failure.

Storage Volume

Various capacities and versions are available to suit different budgets and storage requirements with up to 18TB of RAID protected storage available for DCP storage – that equates to over 150 typical feature films!

Performance

The systems are built for high end performance when transferring content to multiple screens at the same time, using multi-core processors and fast network interfaces including 10 Gigabit Ethernet for maximum performance.
