Digital Media Assistant

AAM is Europe’s leading provider of digital film distribution services, working across the fields of Video On Demand, Electronic Sell Through, and Digital Cinema to provide seamless services to distributors. This is an exciting opportunity to become involved in a cutting edge industry, and to learn about the latest technology from a team of talented engineers. In the role you will report to the digital content mastering manager and aid him in the management and administration of digital file creation. The role will involve following film/TV titles through the lifecycle of a project; from physical media delivery to electronic publishing / DRM wrapping. 

Duties will include: 

  • Assisting in asset management/organisation.
    •  - check in / retrieve assets:
    •  - physical format
    •  - electronic format (Universal, Sony and Warners DTO ) via FTP.

 

  • Follow files through lifecycle
  • Check files are up to date on transcode volume – chase if not
  • Keep record of rejected files and digi’s and chase when necessary.
  • Return masters once content is captured
  • Trailers – chase where required

 

  • DRM publishing of filesSome Client liaisonOrganisation of mini projects.Content mastering team assistance & providing holiday/sick cover if needed.
  • Assisting the Content mastering manager in other operational duties that may occur.

Experience 

  • This role would suit a runner / shipping clerk / recent graduate looking to further their experience in the new media age.Proven organisational experience required.Some knowledge of common tape formats / digital media file formats and codec’s.Some customer service/client facing experience would be a benefit.
  • Any experience of video quality control - analysing and identifying video artifacts in a professional video environment would be a major plus point.

 Personal Qualities 

  • The successful applicant will be proactive, self motivated and able to work under their own initiative. Good organisational and problem solving skills are required, as is strong attention to detail and some analytical skill.
  • The candidate is required to have good vision and hearing as the role requires some technical evaluation of audio and visual elements.
