AAM Overview
Arts Alliance Media (AAM), based in London, Paris and Amsterdam, is Europe's leading provider of digital cinema technology, content and deployment, dedicated to building the largest digital cinema delivery network in Europe, and to supplying digital content - films, alternative programming and live events.
Digital Cinema
For digital cinema, AAM provides end-to-end digital cinema solutions encompassing equipment selection, financing and integration, operator training, installation and 24/7 helpdesk support, and content management and delivery.
In April 2007, Arts Alliance Media completed the installation of the UK Film Council's 240 screen Digital Screen Network, and in June 2007 announced Europe's first Virtual Print Fee (VPF) deals, with Fox and Universal. These deals were followed by digital cinema deployment deals with Sony, Paramount and Disney. AAM signed the first exhibitor up to its European digital cinema rollout in December 2007, when CGR Cinemas in France agreed to digitise 100% of its 400 screens. AAM also has several commercial installations in the UK and also operates a digital cinema circuit in Norway and has installed screens in Spain and the Netherlands. The company also has extensive experience in installing digital 3D and satellite systems in cinemas.
Arts Alliance Media also sources and distributes alternative content programming, including live music, opera and ballet, into cinemas across Europe.
Arts Alliance Ventures is AAMs sister company, and is a venture capital organisation supporting a growing network of entrepreneurs. They have a "hands on approach" to investment and provide both creative talent and strategic advice to Portfolio Companies in the technology and services, and communications sectors.
Investments include City Screen, operator of Picturehouse Cinemas - one of Britain’s leading independent exhibitors, and Smartjog, which provides services to distributors and broadcasters of television content.
